Head of the Lanjarón river

Head of the Lanjarón river

We are at the head of a high mountain river valley located at more than 3000 meters of altitude that today is taken advantage of by the filtered waters of the central siliceous nucleus of Sierra Nevada, thus serving as a natural drain for the lagoons of glacial origin. That is why the lagoon that the Lanjarón River leaves here appears.

Location

At the northernmost end of the municipality, where the imaginary triangle closes that form. It is found between the crests of the Dehesa rope, (to N-NW), and the last foothills to the E.
